From Humble Beginnings to a Leading Dental Retailer (1956-1980)

1956

Jaypee Dent's story began with the formation of Malabar Dental House in Calicut, Kerala, by Ramniklal, Jaisinh Kalayanji. Their vision was to provide dental professionals with the tools they needed to succeed.

1962

Malabar Dental House becomes Jaypee General Agencies under the leadership of Jaisinh Kalayanji and Pratapsinh Vithaldas. The company initially diversified into various industries but eventually focused solely on dental products

1969

Jaypee General Agencies became a sole proprietorship under Pratapsinh Vithaldas.

1972

We began door delivery of dental goods throughout the Malabar region. We also became an exclusive dealer for DPI, Dentsply, and many other dental brands.

1975

We expanded its delivery service to cover all of Kerala. This year also marked the beginning of our manufacturing journey, producing dental chairs, air rotor control boxes, chairside stools, compressors, dental lathes, and a variety of other dental products.

1980

We made the strategic decision to focus exclusively on dental products.

Expansion and Innovation (1988-2024)

1988

To better serve our customers, we established H.P. Industries, a subsidiary dedicated to manufacturing orthodontic elastics and wires.

1990

We continued to expand our manufacturing capabilities, adding orthodontic pliers, plier stands, headgears, and orthodontic welders to our product line.

1994

We achieved our first export order, marking a significant milestone – orthodontic elastics reaching international markets.

1995

We diversified our manufacturing portfolio even further by producing orthodontic brackets and tubes.

1996

We began exporting headgear sets and welders, solidifying our international presence.

1998

We launched a range of dental cements, offering dentists even more options for their practices.

1999

We launched a range of dental cements, offering dentists even more options for their practices.

2007

We relocated to a new showroom in the heart of the city, better serving our growing customer base.

2009

We introduced a line of Indian-made preformed bands, demonstrating our commitment to both quality and affordability.

2010

We moved into our own office building, reflecting our continued growth.

2011

We launched our online dental supply store, making it even easier for dental professionals across India to access our comprehensive product range.

2012

We expanded our product offerings to include a range of tabletop equipment used in dental operatories, such as alginate mixers, cement mixers, and soldering units.

2015

Our commitment to innovation continued with the launch of vacuum forming machines, dental vibrators, and both hard and soft thermoforming sheets.

2016

To further enhance product development, we established an in-house design and R&D centre.

2018

We remained at the forefront of technology by introducing a pressure forming machine and thermoforming sheets specifically designed for aligners.

2020

Reflecting our ongoing success, we relocated to a new multi-story office building. This expansion includes a spacious warehouse, accounting hub, and board room, allowing us to serve our customers even more efficiently.

2023

Our commitment to quality was further emphasized by achieving ISO certification for the manufacture of various dental materials, including dental cements, orthodontic wires, Super elastic wires, and a range of endodontic materials, brackets, tubes, and bands.

2024

The spirit of innovation continues to drive us forward. We recently launched world-class elastic ligatures, separators, and a range of dental composite cements, further solidifying our position as a leading provider of dental solutions in India.
