Mineral Trioxide Aggregate Endodontic Filling Material
MTA FILL is a root canal filling material. Hydration of the paste creates a colloidal gel that solidifies to form a strong, impermeable barrier that fully cures over a four-week period.
Application Range
- As root canal filling material.
- The repair of root canals.
- As the repair of root perforations during root canal therapy.
- Internal resorption.
- For root canal sealing.
Contraindications
None known.
Application Method
- Clean and dry the canal after preparing the root canal.
- Set up a disposable tip on the syringe and insert the ring provided for easy redirection of the tip.
- Disinfect the disposable tip with ethanol.
- Fill the canal completely by pushing the syringe plunger while slowly withdrawing the tip (usable with a gutta-percha point).
- Clean any excess paste with a sterilized cotton pellet.
- Remove the used tip and cover the syringe with the cap.
